該穿孔機主要用于不銹鋼，淬火鋼，硬質合金、銅、鋁等各種導電材料工具上的深小孔加工。如電火花切割工件的穿絲孔:化纖噴絲頭、噴絲板上的噴絲孔:濾板、篩板上的群孔:發動機葉片、缸體的散熱孔:液壓、氣動閥體的油路及氣路孔等。
工作臺X、Y軸配有數顯裝置。使用純凈水或自來水作為工作液。能直接從工件的斜面、曲面穿入加工，加工孔的最大深徑比可達200:1以上。本機床也能用于蝕除折斷在工件中的鉆頭、絲推，而不損壞原孔或螺紋。
